NTA has announced the JEE Main 2019 exam dates for the April Exam. The exam will be held in the online mode from April 07 – 12, 2019. The Paper 2 exam will be held on April 07, 2019 and the Paper 1 exam will be held over the period of 4 days that is on April 08, 09, 10, and 12, 2019.

The dates have been notified via a public noitce, at jeemain.nic.in on March 13, 2019. The general election dates have been recently announced and thus keeping in mind the dates of the election, NTA has released the above mentioned dates for JEE Main 2019 April Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan).

The general election dates are April 11, 18, 23 and 29, 2019 as well as on May 06, 12 and 19, 2019.

The notice further reads that the candidates will get their allotted exam date on the admit card that is being issued online from March 20, 2019. The candidates are being notified of the dates early by the exam conducting body so that the candidates are well aware of the election dates that are in proximity with the exam dates.

NTA might also allot the dates and shift before the release of the admit card at nta.ac.in after the form correction ends like the January exam. The form correction window is closing on March 15, 2019.

JEE Main 2019 is thus being held in 2 shifts each day. The Paper 2 exam will be held on April 07, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and then on 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Similarly, the paper 1 exam will be held on April 08, 09, 10, and 12, 2019 in 2 shifts, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and then on 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Thus, it must be noted that the Paper 2 exam is being held in one day and in 2 shifts. But the Paper 2 exam is being held in 4 days an in 2 shifts very day. In all there will be 10 shifts of the exam.

JEE Main 2019 is being held twice a year from 2019. NTA is conducting the exam for the very first time after CBSE. The exam is being held in CBT format entirely, except for the part 2 of the paper 2 that is the drawing sections. The January exam was held on January 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2019. The result for which has been declared.

After the release of the JEE Main 2019 April exam result, the final AIR based on the best scores of the candidates out both the attempts will be released. The admission to the NITs, IIITs and CFTIs will be based on this AIR.
