10 Jan 2018 is going to be the most awaited date for NDA candidates as NDA (I) 2018 application form will be released on the same day. NDA 2018 examination is a dream for the aspirants seeking for jobs in Indian Defence Services like Air Force, Army, and Navy. NDA is a national level exam organized twice in a year and referred as NDA (I) & NDA (II). Thousands of candidates attempt NDA with a hope of brightening their career in Indian Defence Services. NDA exam is conducted under the flagship of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in different major cities countrywide. NDA Application Form 2018

  • NDA 2018 Application Form will be provided through online mode from 10th January 2018 (NDA-I) & 6th June 2018 (NDA-II).
  • No offline application form will be available for NDA exam.
  • NDA Registration 2018 for Paper-I and Paper-II will be completed in two parts.
  • Candidates applying for part-I need to fill their personal details, education, contact & other required details.
  • Candidates will be allotted the registration number after completing the process of registration-I successfully.
  • In the registration part-II, students choose the exam centers and pay the fee through online or offline mode.
  • Scan and upload the images of photograph and signature.
  • Accept the declaration and keep the printout of the filled application form for further reference.

Application Fee:

  • A nominal application fee of Rs. 100/- will be charged from general & OBC students.
  • SC/ST candidates and wards of NCOs/ JCOs/Ors are exempted from paying any application fee.
  • The fee can be paid via online mode (VISA/Master/Debit Card and Net banking).
  • Fee payment can be made through e-challan of SBI Bank if a candidate wants to pay through offline mode.

NDA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NDA exam are:


Candidates must be an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan or

A person from Indian origin, who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the United Republic of Tanzania, East African Countries of Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the purpose of permanently settling in India.

A Tibetan refugee who moved to India before the 1st January 1962 with the purpose of settling here permanently.

Age Limits:

  • Marital Status & Gender: Male candidates only with single status can apply for this exam.
  • NDA-I Age Limit: The DOB of the candidates must fall between 2nd July 1999 to 1st July 2002.
  • NDA-II Age Limit: The DOB of the candidates must fall between 2nd January 2000 to 1st July 2003.

Qualification Criteria:

  • For Army Wing: candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent exam conducted by the State Education Board or a national education Board.
  • For Air Force and Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: students should have passed the 12th or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics.

Physical Standards:

  • An aspirant will have to be medically fit as per the guidelines issued by National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.
  • Candidates have to undergo the medical fitness test conducted by the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB.

NDA Exam Pattern

The exam pattern details are given here:

  • Type of Question: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) will be asked in the examination.
  • Exam Mode: The exam can be attempted with a pen and paper-based mode only.
  • Exam Duration: The duration of Code 1 and Code 2 will be 2.5 hours each.
  • Section: The paper will be mainly divided into two sections- Mathematics and General Ability Test.
  • Language: The question paper will be asked in English as well as Hindi language.
  • Negative Marking: Negative marking will be done for incorrect answers.

NDA Syllabus

  • Candidates are advised to collect all the details regarding official syllabus before starting their preparation for the exam.
  • Mathematics & General Ability Test are the parts of the syllabus.
  • The topics like Trigonometry, Algebra, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus & Differential equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics, Probability, etc. are the major ones for Mathematics.
  • English and General Knowledge are the major parts of GK section.

NDA Admit Card 2018

  • The NDA 2018 Admit Card will be released by the authority via online mode.
  • Students can download their admit cards from the official website.
  • Candidates just need to fill up details like RID, DOB or Roll Number & other details to download the admit card.
  • NDA hall ticket will not be sent individually to the candidates by post.
  • The exam related details like candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, exam date & timing, etc. are mentioned in the admit card.
  • Without admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter into the examination hall.

NDA Answer Key 2018

  • The answer key will be out within 7 days after the exam.
  • It will be published on the official website.
  • The NDA 2018 answer key will contain all the correct answers NDA exam paper.
  • With the help of answer key, candidates can calculate their tentative score in the examination.

NDA Result 2018

  • NDA result will most probably be announced after 4 weeks of the exam.
  • The NDA 2018 result will be declared on the official website only.
  • The result of candidates shortlisted for SSB Interview will be available in PDF format.
  • Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the SSB Interview round conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.
  • After the SSB interview & other rounds get over, the final result will be announced.
